The 10 inches of oxygenated water that fills your pod is maintained at around 93.5 degrees and contains over 1000 pounds of medical grade Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate). We’re so excited you’re coming to float with us! New clients need to arrive 15 minutes before appointment time— this allows time to complete paperwork if needed, watch our Intro to Floating video and be given a through tour of the spa and your pod suite.

We provide hair ties, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and blow dryer.

There are a few things that will facilitate a deeper float. First, eat a light snack beforehand—you don’t want to be hungry, nor should your body be busy digesting a heavy meal. Next, avoid caffeine and other stimulants, as they will prevent your nervous system from slowing down. Lastly, try to arrive early so that you can begin slowing your mind down and transitioning into a more relaxed state before your float begins.
Float Park City complies with stringent health and safety regulations. The water in the Float Pod is likely the most pristine you have ever been in! The water in each Float Pod is mostly salt—a solution which is inherently sterile. After each float, and anytime the Pod is not in use, our state of the art purification system purifies the water. Between each session every Float Pod’s water is completely purified 4 times with a 5-micron filter and both Ozone and UV Light technology to purify and disinfect the water. Our high standards and commitment to cleanliness ensures that each client will experience a pristine pod and suite for each float.
Most people who have a concern about feeling claustrophobic find that it vanishes almost immediately once they begin floating. Here’s why: our pods are incredibly spacious, you are in complete control of every aspect of your float, including how open or closed the pod door is, and whether the pod lights and music are on or off; also, the experience of sensory deprivation dissolves your perception of boundaries, making the space around you seem limitless.
Absolutely! Remember, with over 1000lbs of Epsom salt in the water, you float like a cork. You can let go completely and trust that the water will support you. So go ahead and drift off…it will likely be some of the best sleep of your life!
You should do whatever makes you most comfortable. Remember that your room is entirely private, so you are free to float with or without a bathing suit. Strictly speaking, wearing anything can be a source of distraction, including jewelry, shower caps, and bathing suits, so we would encourage you to float like the day you were born.
Zero sensory input takes getting used to. Because we are so accustomed to the sensory bombardment of modern daily life, slowing things down can sometimes feel unnatural. This is completely normal, and oftentimes just “noting” your restless mind, without judgment, will quickly get you beyond this feeling. Alternatively, you can turn music on to soothe you, or even get out early. There are times when you’ll simply know that it’s the right time to get out.
You’ll be glad you did! Floating while pregnant is not only safe, but it’s incredibly therapeutic. It also reduces the risk of preeclampsia and allows for a unique opportunity to connect with your unborn child. As with anything else, though, you should consult your doctor before your first float.
The water’s extreme salinity will sting a bit, so you’ll want to flush your eye out with fresh water. There will be a small spray bottle within reach just in case this happens, but it’s easy to avoid— basically, just try to avoid touching your face during a float.
It’s best to avoid shaving within 2 hours of your float because the salt content of the water will sting a bit. Any discomfort will fade within a few minutes, but it will be certainly be distracting until it does.
The answer to this question will differ from one person to the next. Some people will experience ample benefits from their one monthly float, while others will be looking to change their bodies and minds more profoundly with regular floating. We would encourage a highly motivated individual, looking to treat acute or chronic conditions, or simply to take advantage of floating’s full range of compounding benefits, to float weekly (sometimes more —especially in the beginning).
